Training begins with public access work. Our sessions will take place in stores, malls, restaurants and other facilities that welcome service dogs in training. You will learn how to help your dog cope with distractions as well as how to handle behaviors in public.

At Pawsitive Results, we believe in the power of positive reinforcement training. Our trainers use rewards-based techniques to encourage dogs to learn new behaviors and commands. We believe that training should be enjoyable for both dogs and their owners, and our methods reflect this belief. This doesn't always equate to treats and praise. Whatever your dog's currency, it can be used to help him enjoy the learning process. Best of all, you won't need to use rewards of any kind forever as you will build intrinsic motivation in your dog.

This is the most important aspect of private, individualized training sessions. Not only will your dog learn, but so will you. It is imperative that you learn right along with him. You will do the most handling of your dog, ensuring that you learn new handling skills. Your dog is never out of your sight, nor does he need to leave his home for training, unlike board-and-train programs.
This training is offered in segments depending on your needs. Segments consist of 6 training sessions. The number of segments required will depend on your dog and his current level of training, along with your aptitude for advanced training with your dog. Public access evaluation, AKC Canine Good Citizen test and certificate, and service dog identification vest and training pouch included.
One individual session, designed just for you. Is your pup practically perfect, with just a few behaviors that could use improvement? This option is perfect for the owner who only needs a few hours of help, or 1-2 sessions with a trainer.

I can actually take my dog for a walk! This might seem like a small thing, but it was virtually impossible before. I have learned so much and I have a ways to go, but it is much more fun now!
Deanna is awesome! She has so much experience and knowledge. She was instrumental in helping us with our Bordoodle.
Deanna is the absolute best! I loved that she coached us in home and out in the community so that we knew how to reinforce positive behaviors anywhere we may want to go. After our training with Deanna, we were able to pass Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Team certification tests with confidence. She is so loving and thorough; I could not recommend her enough!
First session with Deanna. It's unbelievable what we've learn on our first day. Can't wait for the next session.
Deanna came to my house because I have a very shy and nervous 4-month-old puppy. Upon first meeting her I knew we're going to get along just fine. We have scheduled an appointment in which she's going to bring her other dog along for the lesson because my puppy has interacted with other dogs before. I rescued gorgeous don't know what type of life she had on the big island but I'm sure Deanna is going to give me enough knowledge to have gorgeous open up and be the playful puppy she deserves to be.
